Best Practice: Accso– VR Training for cold forging maintenance at Stanley Black & Decker

Activate the best practice in full screen

Über die Best Practice,

Stanley Black & Decker provides training for their machine operators on maintenance and adjustment of production machines using an interactive virtual reality application developed by Accso.

The VR application allows regular one-on-one training sessions to be conducted without machine downtime in a safe environment, and also visualizes the operation of hidden mechanisms in an easily understandable way.

Strong focus was placed on the realistic implementation. Special adjustment devices were examined on site at the customer’s location in order to precisely map their properties in VR.

Currently, Accso is working on an extension of the VR training with the project “Simulation of haptic feedback in VR simulations”, in which kinetic resistances in VR are made possible with the help of a fully VR-synchronized robot arm.
