DMEXCO 2024!
The VR Business Club successfully placed numerous members at DMEXCO this year – whether as exhibitors, speakers or guests with free tickets. It was particularly pleasing to see the great use cases of the members and to experience the strong interest in immersive technologies. It is impressive to see how this topic is now gaining more and more importance at one of the leading trade fairs and conferences for digital marketing and advertising in Europe.
This year’s participants included: VRdirect – The VR solution for companies, rooom.com – Enterprise Metaverse Solutions, weltfern, baermedia GmbH Co. KG, Immerzed and ERGO Group AG with its own master class. NWO New Web Order GmbH was also able to present itself successfully. Shining on stage and as exhibitors were: Meta, MSM.digital, PwC and CUPRA Germany. In addition, exciting projects from ZREALITY CREATE, ravespace.io, Arthur and 3spin Learning were presented.
Cologne rocked the digital marketing and sales strategies over two days during DMEXCO and had an eye on all the trending topics. Maren was particularly proud to present a sensational program with high-level speakers on the Tech Stage. In her keynote, she emphasized the enormous added value of the metaverse in conjunction with artificial intelligence and showed how quickly these technologies are developing and how useful they can already be used today. It was important to Maren to emphasize that virtual worlds can be realized at low cost and that 3D and interactivity represent the future. Static websites are passé – you don’t need to have studied “Metaverse” for that.
Virtual and augmented realities offer numerous options for saving time, money and resources in the corporate metaverse. AI-based avatars are already taking on tasks such as shopping guides, assistants, coaches and consultants. Soft skills training, such as conflict resolution or negotiation skills, are also becoming increasingly popular. Experts predict that two thirds of all jobs will be soft-skill intensive by 2030, which is why emotional intelligence, empathy and ethical responsibility will become increasingly important.
Our subsequent panel discussion with Kira Grabner, Giuseppe Fiordispina and Camillo Stark focused on CUPRA’s innovative mixed reality experience. CUPRA was the first mover to introduce a virtual experience with the Meta Quest 3 in retail, which enables customers to experience the new CUPRA Tavascan virtually. 500 VR headsets in 14 countries are already delighting customers. During the talk, the guests were able to find out how the project was developed, what technical hurdles were overcome and what advantages the decision to use mixed reality brought. This experience will certainly serve as a blueprint for CUPRA’s further steps into the virtual world.
Let’s hear it for this valuable discussion and a big thank you to the DMEXCO team, especially Marc Semmler, the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) e.V., our great audience and everyone I met. We hope all participants had two great days full of exciting conversations and new leads. Glad you could join us! Let’s keep pushing the market forward!
