VR Business Club Spaces on RAVE.SPACE

What happens when livestreams suddenly become more than “just content,” but rather a space where people truly encounter one another?

Today at the @VR Businessclub Space Event on RAVE.SPACE with @Frank Hahn, I had exactly that moment: eyes open and brain racing.

Because this is not about “yet another platform,” but rather a fundamental shift: from passive viewing to active participation.

The core idea: participants don’t just want to watch, they want to meet each other, get involved, and become part of the show.

What this means in concrete terms:

  • Viewers become avatars and move around in an interactive 3D world, directly in their browser, without downloading anything.
  • You meet in the room, engage in conversation, share content, play mini-games, and the whole thing feels alive.
  • Live formats with genuine interaction: Q&A, polls, playful elements. Engagement is created rather than merely claimed.
  • The worlds remain accessible offline as a permanent meeting place.

What particularly impressed me were the figures from the initial pilot projects: 95% active participation by viewers in the 3D world (by comparison, traditional chat interaction achieves 10 to 15%). The average viewing time is 34 minutes. This is not passive consumption, this is genuine involvement.

And when it comes to scaling: browser-based, client-side rendering with the proprietary RAVE ENGINE means low running costs, high availability, and easy accessibility (desktop & mobile).

Since then, we and many of you have been wondering: What would such a space look like if we consistently applied it to our own corporate context? Not as a gimmick, but as a strategic stage for participants, customers, learning, recruiting, or product worlds.

👉 And because it’s a real idea trigger, we’re going to continue right away: We’ll revisit the topic at the next VR Business Club Space event in March. Until then, you have time to formulate your own ideas and use cases, which you are welcome to send directly to Frank in advance. At the next event, he will show us concrete, advanced, and practical implementation options based on these ideas.
