VR Business Club at the MIPCOM in Cannes!
The MIP Markets – MIPCOM, MIPJUNIOR, MIP CANCUN and MIP LONDON – were great, but also a real challenge. With the VR Business Club, we managed to present six companies from Berlin and Brandenburg in the Metaverse Germany Hub. These first movers offer XR, Metaverse and AI solutions that enrich the TV industry and show new possibilities for storytelling in production as well as for the expansion of marketing channels – adapted to today’s technical possibilities.
Our stand was rather hidden – in the basement and not in the main focus of the trade fair. The challenge: How do you attract visitors when there are hundreds of stands with the latest films and TV series upstairs? Our approach was to actively steer visitors: we pitched at receptions, handed out our stand number, approached C-level contacts directly and led them directly to us. There was also an additional incentive: champagne promotions, which also attracted visitors.
The result? Many enthusiastic interested parties explored our experiences from mixed reality add-ons, AI avatars (including Tom Cruise, for example) to volumetric video and delved deeper into the topics.
